Camping Le Mondou
An impressive piece of France with an ancient history. Discover for yourself and use the old roads, foot-paths or canoe and view everything in the tracks of our glorious ancestors. In the Dordogne you will find a lot of the prehistorical period, the most important of whole Europe. Visit and explore the pittoresque villages and together with the rivers Dordogne, Vézère and Isle they make this area very special.
There are many marked roads for walkings, and some nice cyclingpaths (bikes to rent at the campsite).

A small village, appr. 600 inhabitants, on the edge of Périgord, on the border of the Lot, build on the bank of the river the Dordogne. In the village you will find a grocery, butcher, postoffice, bank and a distribitor and of course the local bar, where you can drink a cup of coffee. On thrisday you can visit the local market. The river the Dordogne is a calm river, easy accessible to swimmers and anglers (licence obliged) and calm for canoing. There is also a little beach with an area with pick-nicktables.

Where John and Lia Doejaaren are pleased to welcome you to their campsite, a special place where you can find your rest, with 60 pitches marked out by bushes, two sanitary buildings, easily accessible for everyone. There is a giant swimmingpool and a babypool, which are open from the end of april until half september.

Besides that there are also a small restaurant, a bar, boulodrome, tabletennistable, playground and sportsfield and many other supplies. You can rent bikes or canoes. Also you can rent a mobil-chalet or a fully equipped tent. Click here for more information about the rentals .
All over the campsite you will be able to connect with WIFI, but we also have a cybercafe.
In the new sanitair block parents can bath their baby, and in highseason we organize special evenings at the terras with local food. For the sportsmen we organize once a week a 'concours de boules', a footballmatch, and we go to a survivalparc once a week. If it is possible we organize accompanied boattrips on the Dordogne. And does the sun not shine and the rain teases us, we have movies for the childeren at the terras. Also important matches you can follow at the terras as Tour de France, WC/EC, Olympics aso.
